Toe Clips Straps

Friends strange behavior....can somebody explain why?

I have a few questions about "why" my friend might do these things.
I'll start with the most unusual thing.
And pardon the length!

My friend has a bit of a foot issue. He doesn't like anyone touching, let alone looking at his feet.
His own mother had to strap him down to clip his toe nails when he was little.
His cousin tried to touch his feet when he was asleep...well, needless to say, he got kicked. He had his jaw broken. My friend jumped almost to the roof, ranting basically in gibberish almost the whole day.
He almost goes into a frenzy, when people just look at them.
However, he lets me touch them. Awake or asleep.
I'm pretty confused on that.

Why am I the only one he lets touch his feet?

And the other day, I was helping him with laundry (he's not the best house keeper.lol) and I noticed that all of his pants had the botton torn off, and the zippers sewn tightly shut.
I've never seen anyone do this!
Why do you think he does this?

On the feet: it sounds like he has an obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) about his feet. I'd have to know him better to determine which. But i'm inclined to presume that it's an OCD.
The thought on OCD is that it stems from behavior that develops because the person is trying to relieve guilt or anxiety. Why it seems strange is that the behavior and the source may no longer seem or be connected. And it's very likely that the person does not know how or why it got started either because they don't remember or were unaware of the connection when it happened. It's thought that OCD also has a biological component as well and can be treated with medication if it interferes in the person's life. When a person is exhibiting the behaviors or compulsions (don't look at my feet, running away, yelling) he or she is trying to relive the stress and anxiety that they feel because of it.
Example: say I'm 6 years old and my hands get dirty. I go wash them and go back out and play. I get pushed on the playground because a kid thinks I'm ugly. I go in and clean up all the while thinking over and over again about how he thinks I'm ugly but just need to wash my hands. Normally, people let this kind of thing go and move on. I forget what happened, but sometimes I feel self conscious and think that if I wash my hands I'll feel better. So I go wash my hands to ease the pressure in my head. However, if I don't feel better, I'll obsessively wash over and over again not really knowing why I do it. (I'm not OCD myself, this is just an example)

Hand washing is a common OCD, but any sort of behavior can develop as a need to relieve stress. Sewing the zippers shut may have been an attempt to get an obsession in his head to calm down. Likely, if he's at his most comfortable and relaxed with you, he doesn't feel the need to be compulsive or relieve stress; which is why he lets you touch his feet.

(Common OCD's: repeatedly locking or opening and closing a door, counting an object repeatedly, straightening things to perfection.)

If it ever becomes a problem that interferes in his life, there are counselors out there that can help.
