I recently bought a racing bike and want to get some SDP Pedals And Shoes.?

I do not understand what stops are and how they work? What shoes will work with this pedal?? Can any1 help ?????

You have two choices, one is the shoes Look Pedals and the other Spd Shoes and pedals. LOOK shoes have very stiff sole with an exhibit cleat and it is difficult to walk in are made for road bikes only. SPD shoes are more flexible and are made for mountain bikes and have a recessed cleat which is almost as walking in ordinary shoes. Many people use Spd Pedals on road bike, because they are easier to walk in. The pedals will with the proper cleats. I bought special shoes at the local Bike Shop (adjustment is very important) and picked Shimano PD - M520 pedals on the line for $ 40. http://www.caree.org/bike101cliplesspedals.htm
