Should I use a UV light or infrared light for my corn snake?

What kind of lighting should I use for my snake wheat? UV or infrared? Should it be Pitch Black in the cage or do I put a light bolb normal? and is also a 3ft by 21 inches in Lviv for my 50cm snake??
