Pony Hunter Jumper Circuit /?

I may be showing on the pony hunter / jumper circuit. I have not decided where to go. Here my questions. Who do you prefer, a hunter or jumper? (This is for people actually ride and show one way or another) What is appropriate attire for the rider? The same goes for hunters. What about saddle pads? I generally believe in white or square blocks arranged to show, but what about carpet color (hunter green, blue, black, etc.)? Can I wear paddock boots and garter belts, or boots are great more desired? What I have right now for shows, Show Light Pink Pants Shirt Navy Hunt coat black boots laced paddock gloves black leather garter belts m Bridle Brown Close Contact Saddle I am looking for good field boots, but I will not buy any time if I could save money and just to use what I have. Also, would I be able to get away with using a cap (helmet cross country) with a velvet blanket? Thank you for Help! No rude answers please.

I do hunters or jumpers depends on my horse. I always jump with a good form for hunters, but on my horse, there is little, agile, and too fast for hunters, and much better in the jumpers. But my mother's horse is big, clunky and clutzy, so he needs to go nice and slow and stop the hunters. In addition, round boots, jodhpurs, breeches and depends primarily on your age (roughly if your done or near done growing, somewhere around 13 or 14). Judging by your message, you're probably too old to be their door and need to find tall boots. Hunter rules specifically the color shirt worn must be white. A velvet cap with the cover, but not ideal, will probably be OK if you do shows on the local circuit C, but for something more I would definitely get the "in" helmet-fortunately, there are many imitations cheaper now.
