Bicycle Pedals Cleats

From Sao Paulo to San Antonio - Experience editing
As KGS Bikes develops the overall concept Bicycle Studio, more and more travel great distances to experience cycling design a world class level. This story is from our friend Paulo Pontes, who contacted me after seeing pictures KGS bike on Flickr.com. Here is an excerpt from his original investigation. Paulo said: "I am a big collector of bikes on the road ... Bikes top end! Now I want one true dream bike. I am in doubt which one to buy; Parlee Z1 Meivici Serotta. I want carbon! Stiff but at the same time a great bike Light to climb the mountains of Italy. "
I'm always intrigued when people are attracted by the images and stories on site. It is encouraging yet humbling because I want to work ten times harder to make sure my new friend was delighted with his investment. I Paulo asked why he was interested in a bike KGS and he said: "I regard your work as the best ever! Every single bike your store is unique ... it has a soul, it has an identity! I want something done for me ... I have this dream bike in my head and I think you can help me build this masterpiece!
Something I can build with you guys and I can take care of my children as an inheritance ... Do you understand that, because of the exchange rate in Brazil this bike will cost more than a nice car down here! This experience is once in his life ... "
No pressure, right! In fact, I take everything as seriously as that of the projects. The first thing we have to do is make an appointment so that we can draw size bike. Initially we spoke Paulo flights to San Antonio, but I learned from my good friend Arhelger Clayton, the Chief Cooper Fitness Center, that Dr. Cooper has been famous in Brazil. He developed a training program to adapt to the team Brazil's World Cup football once and has apparently done a great job that he still remembers it. Since Dallas is much easier to to San Antonio, we agree that Paulo will travel to Dallas.
I drove to Dallas and has everything set up at the Cooper Fitness Center and the next morning went to DFW Airport to pick Paulo. Since my Parlee Z1 was in the back of the car, I do not want "Borrow and forget to return it, so I took the bike to the airport with me. Some people thought it was weird, but Paulo spotted the bike when it came to baggage claim and we had a good laugh. Since then, he gets a Z1 thus was fun show what he could expect when he got his bike.
As we drove toward the center of Cooper Fitness I had the chance learn more Paulo. He is young and fit, and passionate about cycling. It is a happy man, too, that his wife can always keep the bikes in the living room! I was reminded how much we are confident in America, as Paulo could not keep a bike on a grid system without fear of theft and not will not roll over in Brazil because of the assailants and thieves. The axiom, safety in numbers, has real meaning in other parts of world!
I helped move Paulo in the fitness center and Cooper found himself a criminal who happened to be just next record of George W. Bush. Without any reference to Bush's popularity in America or in Brazil, Paulo knew he was a special place where excellence is the game I was grateful for my relationship Cooper as I always am whenever I go to visit.
The next two hours involved details of our consultation mounting. Paulo and I went cleat placement, ankle during pedaling technique. We then optimized the saddle height and has found its balance point at about 200 watts. Paulo with trains and was able to see differences in its output at this stage of the editing process.
Once we have located the saddle, we focused on the placement handlebar Paulo. The objective is to be balanced on the saddle with your back in a comfortable position, then turn the handlebars to the point where the three positions, tops, hoods and the drops, are comfortable, without reaching. Another advantage is, you can put your forearms on the handlebars of positioning the triathlon, to use this position if necessary. Once we have finished locating the handlebars, we did additional tests to speed.
The final test to determine the correct positioning is to see if anything moves at high power. With a good configuration, nothing happens. Predictably, nothing happened here with Paulo, with the exception of a lot of power generated! We finished. The bike is now setup the exact location of Paulo and my next job was the document. A few steps here and there and the data were captured. This is all we need to design a bike dream Paulo, a Parlee Z1.
I returned to the DFW airport and we discussed the day. Paulo has had a whirlwind trip to Dallas and can honestly say that he had not known anything like this in his life. We now have a bike in production and will next travel Paulo America will take delivery of his new dream bike. Thank you, Paulo, for giving me the opportunity to make a new friend to help you take advantage of our wonderful sport all across the world.
