1 trailer light is much brighter than the other one why?

got a factory bought adapter for a 2001 dodge durango, running lights don't work, and one side of hazard is much brighter than the other, and only one side of brake light.

Dale has good advice. If that still doesn't fix the problem, one of your bulbs may be on "backwards". Have you replaced a bulb lately? The bulbs usually have two filaments, a high one for brakes, and a low one for parking / running lights. Some of these bulb housings have such a sloppy tolerance, that they allow you to connect the bulb in either orientation. Check that out too!
