Mastering Mountain Bike Skills describes himself as for anyone who wants to ride better, faster, or more confidence. It helps you to master the skills at all land types in almost any type of situation: cross country, freeride, downhill, dirt jumping, mountain biking, urban land, and even skate parks.

The book is well organized and the topics flow well. Chapters cover the selection of bike and setup, balance, the riding position, the pumping of ground for speed, braking, cornering, wheelies and hops, drops, jumping, high-speed lines, and race.

With more photos and 100 color diagrams of specific actions and adjustments, the authors illustrate the important, but often neglected, the subtleties of the techniques presented.

The book attempts to detail the principles for beginners and experts, and all done an excellent job.

A glossary would be helpful. Authors and publishers often forget that not everyone knows the meaning of jargon words such as rail and carving. Even if explained at first use, a glossary of terms would improve the bike book.

I read this book a trafficking, but whom you wish to keep and refer to often as you drive, develop, and practical skills. There are excellent tips and tricks for people at all levels of expertise and experience.

Verdict

This is one of the best books ever published about mountain biking skills, and contains excellent information on the skills of mountain biking, one the most skilled riders, who all lived. If you're a mountain biker, get this book, even if only to look at the pictures.
